My [Late]New Years Resolution

One of my New Years Resolutions was to actually start blogging - so here I am, 31 days late, putting my resolution into effect. For those who know me, I'm always late(although, something I've been working on as well!). Therefore, this shouldn't be much of a surprise. :)

Sam and I finally signed our lease for our new apartment yesterday, and I am so incredibly excited. The apartment we're in now still just feels like we're in a "little white box" so I'm determined to make this one feel like "home." My Mom and I picked out paint colors yesterday, and I drew out how all of the furniture will be arranged. Then, last night, I found the PERFECT dining room table(our current apartment doesn't have a dining room, future one does). So we now have a dining room table(and chairs of course).

26 days until we move and we have yet to pack anything... I should probably start tonight. :)

Trip to Fayetteville, Arkansas

Sam and I took a trip with part of his family(Dad, Mom, Ashley, and Beau) up to Fayetteville, Arkansas to see his brother, Adam. It was Family Weekend at the University of Arkansas, so we went to visit, and had a blast. :) We started out early Friday afternoon, and got there about 6:45pm that night. We stayed through Saturday and left early Sunday afternoon.

Before we even arrived, Sam decided he was a redneck...

We went to the Arkansas/Auburn game on Saturday, and Arkansas kicked some Auburn butt. I had to suck it up and wear an Arkansas shirt. For all of you who know me well, you know this was hard for me since I'm a Sooner through and through...

It was nice to have a relaxing weekend and some time off of work. Sam and I both had work today, and have tomorrow off - so we're going to the Texas State Fair. We're hoping for nice weather, although I definitely won't mind if it's cold. I'm just glad it's starting to look like fall! :)

Well, Hello There...

I've been debating back and forth for several months on whether or not to start a blog. I follow a few, and have been wanting one of my own, so I decided to go ahead and dive in.

Meet Sam and I. We're young newlyweds who just tied the knot on May 2, 2009. We're both kinda crazy, and we love it. We live in a modest apartment, but obviously want to get into a house as soon as we can. Kids hopefully aren't in our future for another 3 years or so. We're just enjoying life and enjoying each other at this point. We both work full-time jobs, and we have two puppies that take up the majority of our time. When we do have free time, we love to see movies, spend time with family and friends, take the puppies to the dog park, and just relax.

Last, but not least, we've decided to name our first kid Jam. We wanted something that would incorporate both my name as well as Sam's, and also mean alot to us. We both love jam spreads, so voila! ...You don't like it? Maybe we'll rethink it. ;)
